Maa Sarada Devi Birthday Celebration - 2025 Report

The Vivekananda Vedanta Society of Chicago celebrated Maa Sarada Devi's birthday from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm on Sunday, December 14, 2025. There was a snowfall on the 13th and the temperature on the 14th was between 7 and -3 F. Despite the chilling cold weather a little over 150 devotees gathered to watch the ritual worship and to sing the glories of the Mother. Preeti, Sarah, and Arpita discussed austerity, compassion, and self-control as manifested in the life of Sri Sarada Devi. Indrani served as an emcee. Swami Ishatmamandaji presided over the program. All offered flowers and had lunch prasad.
