Sri Sri Durga Puja - 2025 Report

Date Published

The Vivekananda Vedanta Society of Chicago had a joyful celebration this year at Homer Glen Ashrama. On Tuesday, September 30 - the day of Maha Ashtami - about 250 devotees attended the morning puja, and another 250 the evening aarti. However, due to fire regulations, some had to be turned away.

Along with the sixteen-item ritual worship of Divine Mother, Swami Ishatmananda led the chanting from the Sri Sri Chandi, devotional songs, and spoke on the significance of Durga Puja.

All the devotees offered flowers and partook of the lunch and dinner prasad. By the Mother's grace, everyone felt contented.
